As the owner of NBS, physical fitness is both my passion and my profession. My step dad, the only father I ever knew, was an Oregon contractor who specialized in selling specialty wood. He was a highly motivated person and set a good example for me of putting your best effort into life and living. I had no contact with my biological father. However, the course of my life was profoundly influenced when my mom took me aside and told me to be aware that my dad’s side of the family struggled with weight issues; a tendency towards obesity might be a legacy that I had received from him. I was 13 years old at the time and Mom’s warning kindled a fire in my heart for fitness and health that has never been extinguished.
